At Cozy Corner we combine a motivating preschool curriculum with a nurturing home environment. Our unique program focuses on learning through play by offering children a free choice of developmentally appropriate materials and activities designed to spark their imagination and inspire a love of learning. Emphasizing social skills, problem solving and peer relationships, we create a positive attitude through a strong sense of self. As educators, we encourage joy in human diversity and a celebration of heritage through anti -bias approaches.
As a Large Family Child Care Home, this program maintains a low adult
to child ratio, enhancing social competence, and encouraging learning
through acceptance, self expression and a sense of humor. Cozy Corner
is a place for children to explore their sense of wonder and discovery
with friends. A home away from home that is safe, respectful, creative
and fun.

Cozy Corner is a preschool serving children ages 2 to 5 1/2 years old.
Deb Lohrey has operated this enrichment program which cares for 12 young
children a day since 1989. It is a year round program with a 1-2 week
summer vacation and a 2 week winter break in December. There are flexible
enrollment options to meet parents varied schedules. Families may choose
from a few half days a week to Monday through Friday full time. Tuition
is paid on a monthly basis and is a flat rate year round. We offer a monthly
newsletter & calendar to keep families updated on field trips, policy
changes or upcoming family events such as performances or family gatherings.

About Our Head Teacher
Debra Lohrey—Director/Head Teacher.
Deb Lohrey has been an educator of young children since 1981. She is a Master Teacher with a site supervisor credential and she has an A.S. in Early Childhood Education.
As the parent of two children, she knows the importance of quality childcare. Deb's unique technique on reaching children combines humor and compassion with a hint of silliness.
At Cozy Corner she blends a wealth of experience and information from what she has learned through her years of teaching in both children's centers and in family childcare. This in home school is a place she can encourage imagination and give each child the individual attention they deserve.
